Spazio Berlendis
Spazio Berlendis is a venue dedicated to art in its many forms and expressions. The restoration project, completed in 2021, was made possible thanks to the determination of Emanuela Fadalti and Matilde Cadenti, former founders of the Marignana Arte gallery and long active in the fields of art and architecture in Venice. The renovation, curated by architect Filippo Caprioglio, was awarded the prestigious Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2022 as the best restoration project in Italy. With its 300 square meters of luminous space, exceptional ceiling height, overhead natural light, and direct water access from the Rio dei Mendicanti, Spazio Berlendis is a truly remarkable venue, both in terms of location and architectural design. The careful restoration, which respected the original structure while introducing a strong contemporary character, combined with its technical features, large exhibition capacity, and flexibility for various types of installations, has made it a prominent destination in Venice—ideal for hosting a wide range of events, including exhibitions, concerts, conferences, artist residencies, and more.
Spazio Berlendis is located in the sestiere of Cannaregio, near the Fondamenta Nuove and just a few steps from the Church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo. It was created through the restoration of the former carpentry workshop of the Squero Fassi (also known as Squero Vecio, the “Old Squero”), the oldest shipyard in Venice. Spazio Berlendis offers project management and consulting services for the organization of art exhibitions and events. We provide logistical support, curatorial development, as well as communication and marketing services.
