Spazio Berlendis, a space that launched last June and proposes itself as a meeting place for cultural discussion in the City, will resume its programming on November 5th with a dialogue between the great music of Bach, played by cellist Federico Toffano and the presentation of the italian translation of the book “The Circuit of Affects: Political Bodies, Abandon and the End of the Individual” by philosopher Vladimir Safatle. The event will play out in two parts.
The first part (from 5:00-7:00pm) will be dedicated to the presentation of the book by speakers Giorgio Cesarale (Ca’ Foscari), Jonathan Molinari (Universidad Federal do Parà), Pietro Omodeo (Ca’ Foscari), Francesca Putignano (Ca’ Foscari), and the author of the book, Vladimir Safatle (Universidade de São Paulo).

The evening will continue at 7:30pm with the concert “Ancient resonances,” in which cellist Federico Toffano will play music by Domenico Gabrielli and Johann Sebastian Bach, and will dialogue with music historia Mauro Masiero.
“Ancient resonances” will be the first of four events that make up the musical project “Bach Friday” (the other events, always on Fridays from 7:30-8:15pm at Spazio Berlendis, will be December 10th 2021, January 14th, and February 4th 2022). These events are the result of an idea of members of the BACHaro Tour association, in which J.S. Bach’s music is the protagonist in dialogue with the music of other composers from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The format is one that has been tested through four years of events by the BACHaro Tour association, in which there are live performances by cellist Federico Toffano and violinist Alessandro Cappelletto, with brief guided listenings by music historian Mauro Masiero.
